The Google maps service is incredibly useful, I use to take a look at the places my ancestors lived, to give me an idea of distances and locations, and also to keep a record of those same locations. It’s now even more useful, because users can embed maps straight into web pages, as you can see below:
Even better, the embedded maps are interactive. Click on one of the icons, and you will be able to see the details.
